Definition of artistic practice? My artistic practice is evolved around giving life to objects, visuals and creating authentic atmospheres.
Title of the investigation at the residency Re-In-Forest
Description of investigations and findings

The investigation was evolved around memories. Our project was focused on revisiting a specific site ‘Troldeskoven’, where we made a small film (Bobba and the bjørn) 9 years ago. Hugo was 3 years at the time, and how would it be to come back to a place we have talked a lot about, but not seen for many years.

The nature is very intense there, and a lot of fallen trees was covering the grounds. Very quickly a story formed in Hugos head and following storyline happened:
A boy comes cack to nature, full of questions about what is going on in the world. He connects with nature, gathers branches that turns into tools, and awakens the power of nature.

It was so much fun making the captions on film, and just playing with the ideas that popped up during our tour of the forest. Hugo wanted to make stop motion shorts, so this became our media.

What are you most curious about or invested in in your own practice? I was curious about the settings of the stay and how would it work between Hugo and I and the other families. It became very important for us to be eighter be out side in nature, or at the editing.
What questions did you bring to investigate and what questions are you leaving with? The big question was for me how will it be to work so closely with my own child. One thing is working with children in general, but another when it is your own kid. Further more, he is in the teenage transition, so I wanted to focus on the transformation. Give space the the state of mind of a teenager.
Transformative, creative moments at the residency Doing this project with Hugo, it became more a series of transformative moments, where the 'letting go' of both parenting and artistic ambition became significant. When the letting go happened, there was this surreal experience of new dimensions opening, as Hugo's ideas was taking shape, and evolving in a totally new direction. It became a very profound, and vivid experience of growth and expansion. Very grateful for this.
