| Definition of artistic practice? | Combining video, music and movement |
| Title of the investigation at the residency | Borea |
| Description of investigations and findings | We presented a performance combining video and audio recordings captured from all over the Islands harbors and coasts. We were impacted from interviews we did withs loca Islanders on their connection and experience with the change and decay of the Baltic sea. Including fishermen, ferry captains, artists and marine biologists. |
| What are you most curious about or invested in in your own practice? | The contacts with local people and the exploring and establishing connection to nature on the island. We used almost all our time outside exploring local communities in harbors and nature, doing field recordings and interviewing people. Our working method is build on establishing connection to understand how the change of the sea has an impact on Island communities. Therefore this was the most valuable time and it made the foundation for our performance on the last day. |
| What questions did you bring to investigate and what questions are you leaving with? | We came with the question: How is the deep rooted connection between sea and Island community? And how does climate change and decay of the Baltic Sea affect individuals and communities? We are leaving asking ourselves, how can we create a performative format that combines documentation in the best way? |
| Transformative, creative moments at the residency | We where bicycling across the Island from the northern coast and we where and we where putting together the first ideas of how to do our performance. |
