Definition of artistic practice? My practise is transdiciplanry emerging performance and contemporary photography. Central to my practice are themes of borderland politics, contemporary alienation, spirituality, and ecological emergencies.
Title of the investigation at the residency New Dawn
Description of investigations and findings

During my stay at BIRCA I was investigating ecological emergencies, more precisely landscapes affected by mining. Moon and its capabileties of transforming became central to my work, looking into its connections with ancient mythologies, sun circles and worshipping. Furthermore, I was interested to investigate energy fields of the island and its connections with sacred geography.

What are you most curious about or invested in in your own practice? I am curious about the vibrations of the body and landscape, transformation and escapism (state of trance). I am curious about using estrangement as a tool of reimagining the given views.
What questions did you bring to investigate and what questions are you leaving with? I came to investigate the unseen, ecological emergencies and myths of rebirth. I left with the interest of more ritualistic research into water and its healing and transforming possibilities.
Transformative, creative moments at the residency Firstly, it was interesting to see the introduction of the previous residency projects and places they visited. Secondly, I enjoyed the meeting with Bodil, to understand the energies of the island and visit these specific places. As I have been working with the concept of moon, mines and transformation (alchemy) before I knew I would like to work with the Kultippen landscape as soon as I visited the place.
