| Definition of artistic practice? | Work at the intersection of performance arts and social engagement |
| Title of the investigation at the residency | Co-creation - The Sea Hotel |
| Description of investigations and findings | All the artistic work I produced was about how the seas are interconnected and how this can become tangable or an embodied experience, what happens in the sea and how this is visible in our society. |
| What are you most curious about or invested in in your own practice? | Social engagement and adressing important questions in society. To work with people with other disciplines To work under very limited time restrictions; I work quite well in pressure cooking situations. |
| What questions did you bring to investigate and what questions are you leaving with? | How to make a collective concept with strangers? How to both be a facilitator and an artist. How to be outside the process and have a helicopter view and to be inside it as a participant? What does it mean to be an islander artist? How can a group of islander artists create work that is both local and global? I left with a lot of impressions, great encounters, a collective concept, more information about the cultural fishing background of Bornholm, an motivation to do more research. |
| Transformative, creative moments at the residency | Creative ideas often come from unusual combinations of things, facts and intuition and they develop along the way. An example on Bornholm was a thought about how all bodies of water are connected, a question what if one sea collapses how does this effect other seas, an proposal from a collegue artists that the partcipants should feel the sea they are and then an idea that it could be a in a spa setting. |
