| Definition of artistic practice? | WunschMachine draws threads from Physical Theater, Performance & Anthropology. We examine the reality we encounter through body, senses, disciplines, poetry and personal narratives, which we weave together and give shape. The expression lives outside the walls of the theater and is popular avant-garde with a twinkle in the eye. |

| Description of investigations and findings | How to create a curiosity on something that doesn´t naturally interest my kids/family and make them want to play along. How to make them co-owners of the creative process. How to learn from their take on the different proposals I suggest. How to let go of my point of view and sense of order: to see what happens in chaos. How to navigate in chaos – and still take time on my own to understand how the research lands in me – and moves me forward (or sideways or backwards – since forward might not always be the right direction). |
| What are you most curious about or invested in in your own practice? | How to create sustainable creative processes which contains a clear leadership – at the same time as offering space for creative collaborators and space to be led by intuition. How to rest in chaos – and in the unknown. How to create projects that opens up to new perspectives and create bridges between different understandings. |
| What questions did you bring to investigate and what questions are you leaving with? | How to integrate my children (and family as a whole) in an artistic research process on birds. I leave with several specific takes on birds/exercises that I take with me when I do the Huskunstner-project in schools in winter 2024 and also knowledge on how time and space to let intuition lead creates magical moments, and surprising realizations. |
| Transformative, creative moments at the residency | Not a specific place – but more a state of mind due to being in process for a week – detached from production (emailing, planning). For example a sensation of almost manic waves of ideas/thoughts coming to me after three days. I am usually very structured in my work – so the fact that this process due to the framing of it had a more chaotic sensation – made room for some magical encounters – lead by intuition. This is something I really take with me from this week. |
