| Definition of artistic practice? | My practice moves between physical theatre and text, and I’m exploring how to connect the two. It’s about presence and the body in relation to both nature and people. I try to let the work grow from these encounters, so process and performance stay open and adaptive. |
| Title of the investigation at the residency | What Remains |
| Description of investigations and findings | During the residency I slowed down and tuned into listening to nature, to see how that would evolve into my work. I walked a lot, by the sea and across the island, and experimented with movement that followed natural rhythms, like the breath of the waves and the songs from the earth. I wrote small texts as direct responses to these encounters. Conversations with the other residents about energy points, rituals and cycles pushed me further into exploring healing and presence through physical actions. The process gave me both new texts and a more expanded movement vocabulary that feels closely tied to landscape and ritual. |
| What are you most curious about or invested in in your own practice? | I’m curious about the connection between nature and body - how they heal together and how this can be translated in a performative way. |
| What questions did you bring to investigate and what questions are you leaving with? | I came wondering how time in nature could shift the way I move and create. Along the way I discovered the power of small, repeated actions, and how ritual can shape both process and presence. Now I leave with the question of how these experiences can be translated into performance — so that an audience can sense the same rhythms. |
| Transformative, creative moments at the residency | On my coastal hike during the residency, I reached Jons Kapel. At Jons Kapel I felt a strong sense of empowerment, as if the landscape itself was speaking back. It was a moment of clarity — from “using” nature in my work to letting it shape and transform me. |
