| Title of the investigation at the residency | These cards are not magic |
| Description of investigations and findings | ‘THESE CARDS ARE NOT MAGIC’ is an ongoing research into using a set of artistic tarot to offer guidance and inspiration to different artistic constellations. The mission for this residency was to carve space into reflect on the practice (Developed in December 2023) and produce a short booklet in which to guide other readers into this practice. The booklet generated many questions about how to describe the intuitive nature of this practice, and how best to offer a set of tools in which to help others with connections. The first draft of the booklet was made and is now being shared with others in order to improve the practice.

| What are you most curious about or invested in in your own practice? | In the frame of this residency I was curious about how this practice of artistic tarot could bleed into the other residents, how we could form a collective language and exchange point. |
| What questions did you bring to investigate and what questions are you leaving with? | I came with the curiosity of language, of description, of connection. How can you craft a creative and intuitive practice into words, how can you gift a personal artistic practice to many. These questions are not answered but continue to drive the research. |
| Transformative, creative moments at the residency | I think there was many moments, but in gaining feedback from Cherry I realised the power of collective card reading verses the personal, the idea of a future present story telling - something that has become quite powerful in my practice since this feedback. |
