| Definition of artistic practice? | In MYRKR, I create cross-aesthetic artworks that investigate and explore the human connectedness with nature in a field of tension between art, science and magic. The wish is that the audience leaves our works with a feeling of being connected with the phenomena that we investigate. This has been expressed both in Performances, podcasts and films. |

| Description of investigations and findings | Me, my husband Jesper and our 3 children: Buster 10 years, Carlo 8 years and Henry 17 months have researched dreams, magic and portals. Buster and Carlo go to role play, portals and magic are already part of their games. The children were each given a small suitcase with different materials: dream diaries, Polaroid camera, dream catchers, Maya dolls etc. We have traveled with a shaman to find our power animals, heard about the underground and visited sacred energy sites. We have shaped amulets in clay and painted portals etc. |
| What are you most curious about or invested in in your own practice? | I want to create sensual and transformative experiences for the audience, where they leave MYRKR's works and experience a sense of connectedness. |
| What questions did you bring to investigate and what questions are you leaving with? | How can I explore magic and portals with my children? How can we articulate the landscape as a magical place together? How can I convey magical portals in a sound work or performance? |
| Transformative, creative moments at the residency | Susanne Danig had taken us to 2 sacred energy places. It was as if the energy was physically visible in my youngest sons body. In one place he responded with silence, in another place he gave things to the altar we had made and began to distribute it to us. I saw the energy going very strong into my children and it has made me want to investigate sacred landscapes. I will initially go on a pilgrimage and examine the energy places on my own body. |
