Definition of artistic practice? I work a lot with devising. And I often create materials based on my own themes or interests. A conscious use of the body and its possibilities to convey -moods- symbolic images - interpretations is a big player in my work. And in this context meant as a contrast to taking the starting point in the spoken language and the written text. Text work is part of my expression, but it does not necessarily follow a traditional dramaturgy. But I like to create scenic sequences that mix facts and feelings, with the imagination as a catalyst for the final visual expression.
Title of the investigation at the residency Ude af drift -Under reperation
Description of investigations and findings

I had worked very intensely up to residency. And had many different tasks within my field in recent years. So I felt a fatigue in my body and nervous system, and a sensitivity to doing what I usually do to reach a professional-quality presentation. The way I usually solve the tasks often includes a fairly large potion of stress hormones in the body. I wanted to insist on working without stress, an attempt to let inspiration grow from simple choices. To anti-perform and still be present a 15-minute long presentation at the end of the residency. Which would hopefully make sense and have a certain entertainment value for the audience. But first and foremost, that I myself could be able to have fun with it and not let the anxiety of performance fill too much.

What are you most curious about or invested in in your own practice? Finding ways to get ideas. Finding ways to find inspiration. Finding ways to put these into artistic practice in collaboration with others.
What questions did you bring to investigate and what questions are you leaving with? I found that having a deadline is a contradiction in terms. It can both drive you forward and bring you to your knees. It's an inevitable part of the production process in performing arts. And that's why many very productive performing artists can feel it as a physical wear and tear on the body. Stress hormones wear down the body physically. So we have to find new ways to work with our creativity and productivity as we become more experienced. And allow ourselves to lean into the experience.
Transformative, creative moments at the residency I had written a text that I couldn't learn before the performance. So I came up with the idea of writing the text out on smaller pieces of paper and then hiding the pieces on my body. So that during the monologue I could let go of the paper, throw it away, chew on it, do something physical and take the next piece of text out from somewhere else on my body. And I could feel that going for walks helped me to get rid of stress and tension, and get my creative flow going.
